These monoprints were hand pulled on the press at Digswell Arts where I work in the print Studio once a week.
My Psychomachia series of prints evolved from a weekend studying at the British Library during the exhibition of Anglo-Saxon manuscripts. The Psychomachia or War of the Soul is by the 5th century poet Prudentius describing the battle between the Virtues and Vices for possession of the human soul..

Antipodean monoprints : This series was printed from a plywood plate with carborundu and eucalyptus bark on 300 gsm Somerset paper and made after a trip to visit family in Adelaide. We travelled overnight by train right through the red centre of Australia to Alice Springs and then by road to Ularu.
